Área Marina Protegida de la Reserva de Biosfera Seaflower (San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina)

Resolución No. 170 del 12 de marzo de 1998 of the environmental authority prohibits fishing with spear/harpoon-type instruments (pesca con arpón), carrying such instruments, and any related activity throughout the entire territory of the Departamento Archipiélago de San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina — its islands, cays, shoals and ocean banks — i.e. across the whole Seaflower Biosphere Reserve / Marine Protected Area (WDPA 555636411, ~65,017 km², declared 2005, first MPA in Colombia). The rule carries one narrow, separately-mapped exception corridor on San Andrés Island for authorized traditional/artisanal free-diving spearfishers.
