National park established 1977 in eastern South Sudan near the Ethiopian border, covering ~22,800 sq km of grasslands and floodplains, part of the Boma-Badingilo migratory landscape. Under the Wild Life Conservation and National Parks Act 2003 (Section 14(e)) fishing inside a national park is limited to hand-held rod and line, so spearfishing is not a permitted method here.
