Zone sanctuaire de L'Hermitage (réserve marine, protection intégrale)

Two of the five integral-protection 'sanctuary' zones (zones de protection intégrale, Niveau 3) of the Réserve Naturelle Marine de La Réunion lie in the L'Hermitage-les-Bains lagoon (commune of Saint-Paul). All human activity is prohibited (Art. 25, Décret 2007-236), so spearfishing is strictly forbidden. Marked by yellow buoys in the lagoon.
