Forbhreathnú
Conas a caitear le spearfishing ag Alofi North Marine Protected Area (Anono Marine Reserve).
Village-managed no-take marine reserve on Niue's west coast at the north end of Alofi Bay (the Vailoapu-Anono / Vailoapu-Namoui reserve, also referred to as the Alofi North MPA), established as Niue's first/only village marine reserve in the late 1990s. As a no-take area, fishing and spearfishing are prohibited. A National Geographic Pristine Seas survey assessed fish biomass in this ~20-year-old no-take reserve in 2016. The reserve lies on the seaward side of the main road between northern Alofi and Makefu, with a lookout opposite the Alofi-Tokelau Nuku Tutaha Club; the reserve ends just before Makefu Bush Road.
