Across the Federation of B&H, Republika Srpska and Brcko District, catching fish with an underwater gun, spears or harpoons is prohibited on all fishing waters by the respective freshwater-fishery laws.

Through the holder of fishing rights for a given fishing area and the competent entity/district authority; requires the angling exam. Does not apply to spearfishing.
