Danish saltwater coastline and fjords (general)

Underwater hunting is generally permitted along the open Danish saltwater coast, sounds and fjords, subject to the 500 m river-mouth protection belts, harbour/industrial-installation exclusions, daylight-only and no-scuba rules.

Saltwater only; no scuba; daylight only (sunset to sunrise prohibited); muscle-powered spearguns only; valid fisketegn required; minimum sizes and protected species apply; not within 500 m of river/stream mouths.

Year-round in daylight, subject to species closed seasons and the cod ban in subdivisions 22-24 in 2026.
