Manele-Hulopoe Marine Life Conservation District (Lanai, Hawaii)

Marine Life Conservation District on the southern coast of Lanai encompassing the adjacent bays of Manele and Hulopoe (~309 acres, established 1976). Spearfishing is prohibited; the only fishing permitted is pole-and-line from the shoreline for finfish and a'ama crab. All other gear in the water is banned. Subzone A (inner) additionally prohibits all vessel operation.
