Parque Nacional Islote Lobos (Río Negro)

National park created 2022 (Ley Nacional 27.670), protecting a sea-lion haul-out and seabird island complex on the Río Negro Atlantic coast near Sierra Grande. Comprises 14,155 ha under the strict 'Parque Nacional' category (the Mar Argentino/marine ecoregion sector, where the spearfishing-relevant waters lie) plus a smaller 'Reserva Nacional' terrestrial-steppe buffer (3,486 ha). Under Ley 22.351 Art. 4 all economic exploitation, including extractive fishing/underwater hunting, is prohibited within the Parque Nacional (marine) sector except tourism-linked activities expressly authorized by APN; no fishing/spearfishing authorization has been published for this park.
