Mutton Snapper Spawning Aggregation Area (St. Croix)

Federal spawning-aggregation closure in the EEZ south of St. Croix. From March 1 through June 30 each year all fishing (including recreational spearfishing) is prohibited in the EEZ portions of the area to protect the mutton snapper spawning aggregation. Fishing with pots, traps, bottom longlines, gillnets or trammel nets is prohibited year-round. Boundary defined by five coordinate points in 50 CFR 622.479.
