Declared INPA Mediterranean marine nature reserve off Nitzanim Beach on the southern coast between Ashdod and Ashkelon, recently massively expanded to extend about 7 km out to sea (max seabed depth ~38 m). Protects sandy and rare rocky habitats and key species such as the common dolphin. As an INPA-managed marine nature reserve, fishing (including spearfishing) is restricted/prohibited.

No short-term tourist/daily licenses are issued; visitors must buy the annual license or fish under a licensed charter captain's permit.
