Protected nature reserve (managed by the Eswatini National Trust Commission) with indigenous-fish rivers; fishing within protected/conservation areas is restricted. The Fisheries and Aquaculture Act 2019 s.18 empowers the Minister to declare fisheries protected areas where fishing is prohibited without specific permission.

Apply to the Fisheries and Aquaculture Board (under the Ministry responsible for fisheries/agriculture) for a fishing licence in the prescribed format; obtain a fishing permit from the Principal Secretary. Locally, many dams/clubs collect a permit fee or rod fee on site; accommodations can advise.
