Spearfishers must keep clear of professional fishing units and marked fishing gear; approaching within ~150 m of a fishing vessel or buoy-marked gear is reported as prohibited. Conditions for recreational/sport fishing activity are fixed by arrêté of the Ministry of Agriculture (DGPA). Civil-liability insurance is commonly expected for spearfishers (secondary-sourced). Confirm current requirements with the DGPA before diving.
