Major nesting site for four endangered sea turtle species (Leatherback, Green, Hawksbill, Olive Ridley), which are protected under the Fisheries Act 2002 and the Protected Areas Act 2011. Managed by the Protected Areas Commission; resource use (including fishing) is regulated and subject to permission.
