Within the perimeter of the N'Gouja site, fishing and shell collection of all kinds are prohibited (Article 23 of the arrete prefectoral du 28 juin 2018). As spearfishing is a form of fishing, it is banned here. N'Gouja is a well-known lagoon site on the south-west coast of Petite-Terre/Grande-Terre near the southern tip.
