Roncador atoll, part of the Sección Norte of the Área Marina Protegida Seaflower, is within the no-take conservation zone (zona de conservación NO TAKE) created by Coralina's Acuerdo 002 of 28 June 2019 (amending Acuerdo 021 de 2005); Coralina's own reporting describes an illegal-fishing seizure carried out precisely in this 'Sección Norte — complejo arrecifal de Quitasueño y los atolones de Roncador y Serrana' No Take zone, where all extraction fishing including spearfishing is banned.
