At Sandy Bay, underwater fishing with or without a weapon is permitted ONLY during 1 October to 30 April under a Class C permit (reg 21(2)(e)). Sandy Bay is on the eastern Mediterranean coast of Gibraltar, south of Catalan Bay, accessible via Sir Herbert Miles Road.

Apply to the Department of the Environment via the Marine Protection Regulations application form. Requires proof of residency (full permit), a valid medical certificate and insurance cover; applicant must be at least 16.
