Managed by Sabah Parks; the park is zoned (no-take, general-use, preservation zones) and fishing/spearfishing is prohibited within its no-take zones.

Recreational angling charters fall under the Peninsular Malaysia Marine Department, but such permits do not authorise the use of fishing equipment such as spearguns.
