Lake Issyk-Kul (open sites)

Amateur and sport fishing, including spearguns outside public recreation zones, is permitted on Lake Issyk-Kul under permit, subject to spawning closures and the all-year ban on sites No. 15 and No. 39. Issyk-Kul trout and Issyk-Kul bare osman may never be taken.

Paid fishing ticket/permit required; spawning closures (point 17); protected species may not be taken (point 18); sites No. 15 and No. 39 closed all year; site No. 11 closed to watercraft 1 Nov-31 Dec.
