Molokini Shoal Marine Life Conservation District (Maui, Hawaii)

No-take Marine Life Conservation District offshore of the crescent-shaped Molokini islet in the Alalakeiki Channel, about 3 miles off Maui's southwestern coast. The ~77-acre district (established 1977) is divided into Subzone A (inner cove) and Subzone B (100 yards seaward of the islet). Only trolling in Subzone B is permitted; all spearfishing and possession of any device capable of taking marine life in the water are prohibited throughout. Access is by boat only.
