  Restricted-use zone covering the northern marine section of Xcalak Reefs National Park, Quintana Roo.   Protection zone at the Belize border in the southern marine polygon of Xcalak Reefs National Park. The management program (DOF 08/10/2004) permits only transiting vessels, commercial filming, research, ecological restoration, protection and monitoring - no fishing modality (commercial, traditional hand-line or sport) and no diving are permitted, so spearfishing is banned.

  Grouper spawning-aggregation zone inside Xcalak Reefs National Park. Recreational sport fishing is not a permitted activity in this zone under the management program (DOF 08/10/2004), and the park's administrative rules expressly prohibit the use of nets and speargun during the reproductive aggregation seasons.
