There are seven seal protection areas in Finnish state-owned sea areas protecting the main moulting and resting islets used by grey seals (Halichoerus grypus), totalling ~188 km2; several lie within and around the Archipelago Sea (Saaristomeri) National Park in SW Finland. Landing and access restrictions protect the reserves, and fishers must observe the park's protected/restricted-area rules. Representative point at the Archipelago National Park core.
