Überblick

Wie Speerfischen bei Shadwan (Shedwan) Island gehandhabt wird.

Largest island in the Strait of Gubal at the mouth of the Gulf of Suez, about 30 km SW of Sharm el-Sheikh and NE of El Gouna. Part of the Red Sea Northern Islands Protectorate, declared in August 2006 under Law No. 102 of 1983 on Natural Protectorates and managed by the EEAA Nature Conservation Sector; landing and fishing are not permitted. Egyptian marine-science literature independently maps 'Shedwan Island & the coral reefs around the island' as a no-fishing zone (Egyptian Red Sea fishing-zones map, ResearchGate fig1_46034001, the same source used in this dataset for Rocky Island). Fishing including spearfishing is prohibited. Coordinates are a representative point on the island.
