Official boundary starts at Point A, the southern tip of Aquasol Theme Park (18 deg 28' 45.349" N, 77 deg 55' 48.692" W). Spearfishing is also prohibited within the Montego Bay Marine Park.

Under the Fisheries Act, 2018 (s.25) no person may engage in fishing without the appropriate licence, authorization or permit, and contravention is an offence.
