What this zone is

Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Reserva marina de la isla de La Palma.

It extends between Caleta de los Pájaros and Punta Gruesa out to the 1,000 m isobath (3,455 ha). Recreational maritime fishing — including spearfishing — is not permitted within the reserve (only authorised autonomous diving and limited shore fishing outside the integral zone). Note: per MAPA the governing order is Orden APA/1936/2002 (the researcher's cited ARM/2094/2010 could not be confirmed).
