Resumen

Cómo se trata la pesca submarina en Reserva Natural Parcial Marina de les Illes Medes (Catalonia).

The marine partial nature reserve surrounding the Medes Islands, inside the Montgri, Illes Medes i Baix Ter Natural Park. Under Ley 15/2010 art. 7 it is illegal even to carry fishing gear there: all fishing and extraction of marine resources is banned, so spearfishing is completely prohibited. Only diving under a specific licence is allowed.

Licencia obligatoriaa través de Competent fisheries authority of the coastal Autonomous Community (órgano competente de la comunidad autónoma del litoral)

Apply through the fisheries authority of the relevant coastal Autonomous Community (online or in person). A medical certificate of fitness for underwater/free-diving (issued by a doctor qualified in hyperbaric/underwater medicine), or a valid federation licence covering the medical, plus suitable accident insurance, is generally required. ID (DNI for citizens; NIE/passport for foreigners) and payment of the regional fee are needed.
