Zona di Tutela Biologica «Area prospiciente Amantea» (Calabria)

Coastal biological protection zone (~75 km2) off Amantea, Calabria, running from the shoreline out to the 16°00'E meridian between 39°04'55"N and 39°11'40"N. Under the ministerial decree of 22 January 2009 all forms of professional, sport and recreational fishing — expressly including spearfishing — are prohibited in every ZTB unless explicitly allowed, and for this zone the only sport fishing allowed is line fishing with a maximum of 5 hooks per angler. Spearfishing is therefore prohibited along this whole stretch of coast.
