Zone de protection renforcée de la Pointe de L'Étang-Salé

Reef-platform zone de protection renforcée (Niveau 2) at the southern end of the Réunion marine reserve, at the Pointe de L'Étang-Salé (commune of L'Étang-Salé), distinct from and just south of the L'Étang-Salé-les-Bains integral lagoon sanctuary. Article 20 of Décret n° 2007-236 lists the reef platform 'à la Pointe de L'Etang-Salé' and Article 21 prohibits spearfishing in the reinforced-protection zones; the foëne is banned reserve-wide. Defined by decree boundary points PR33, BGR6, BGR7 and PR37.
