Argyle Lagoon unit, San Juan Islands Marine Preserve (San Juan Island, Washington)

The University of Washington tidelands and all bedlands enclosed by the inner spit of Argyle Lagoon on San Juan Island, defined by WAC 220-302-100(3). WAC 220-305-080(2)(c) closes the preserve to the taking of food fish other than salmon (herring excepted), and salmon may not be speared anywhere in Washington (WAC 220-310-130), so no fish a spearfisher can target may lawfully be taken here. The lagoon is a shallow tidal basin that largely drains at low water and is of limited practical interest to divers.
