Cape Falcon Marine Reserve (Oregon)

A statutory no-take marine reserve off Cape Falcon and Short Sand Beach, Tillamook County; effective 1 January 2016. OAR 635-012-0050(1) prohibits the take — “including fishing or hunting” — of any fish or wildlife species inside the reserve, and OAR 635-012-0050(3)(c) bans deploying any fishing gear in the water there. Spearfishing and spearguns are therefore prohibited; a diver may only transit or anchor with catch already aboard.
