The Kiribati Shark Sanctuary comprises all Kiribati waters. Catching, capturing, killing, fishing for, or finning sharks is prohibited (inadvertent-catch-and-release defence and Ministerial cultural permits only). This applies to any spearfishing targeting sharks.
