Entire Republic of Maldives (all maritime zones)

Spearfishing with a spear gun is prohibited across all maritime zones of the Maldives (internal waters, archipelagic waters, territorial sea and exclusive economic zone) under Section 12(a) of the General Fisheries Regulation R-75/2020. There is no area where recreational spearfishing is permitted.
