Doctors Gully Aquatic Life Reserve, Darwin (Northern Territory)

Total no-take aquatic life reserve on the Darwin CBD foreshore — the Aquascene fish-feeding beach. Under its management plan no one may take, injure, destroy or possess fish or aquatic life anywhere in the reserve, so spearfishing is prohibited along with every other form of fishing. The reserve was declared under the Fisheries Act 1988 by notice in Gazette No. S51 of 8 October 1992, as amended by Gazette No. S5 of 28 January 1993.
