The aquatorium of Rijeka dubrovačka — the drowned Ombla valley north-west of Dubrovnik — north-east of the line Rt Loznica – Rt Kantafig, is posebno stanište no. 13 under Pravilnik NN 125/2020 čl. 14(2). The permitted-gear list is exhaustive and the speargun (podvodna puška) is not on it, so spearfishing is prohibited; čl. 14(6) expressly extends the restriction to sport and recreational fishing. Gigs/spears (osti) ARE permitted here — do not confuse them with the speargun, which Croatian law treats as a separate gear usable only in sport fishing (Zakon o morskom ribarstvu čl. 31(1)).
