Within this marine national park the nationwide statutory ban on non-fishermen using spears/spearguns and scuba-assisted harvesting applies, reinforced by national-park protection of marine resources. There is no recreational spearfishing licence in South Korea. Catching aquatic resources commercially requires a fishery licence/registration from the head of the Si/Gun/Gu under the Fisheries Act; recreational sea fishing (rod) is regulated under the Fishing Management and Promotion Act but does not authorise spears or scuba-assisted harvesting.
