Parque Nacional Monte León (Santa Cruz)

Strict-category national park (Ley Nacional 25.945/04) on the Atlantic coast of Santa Cruz: 55,620 ha under the 'Parque Nacional' category (covering the marine/coastal core with seabird colonies and marine-mammal haul-outs) plus a 6,549 ha 'Reserva Nacional' buffer. Under Ley 22.351 Art. 4, 'queda prohibida toda explotación económica con excepción de la vinculada al turismo, que se ejercerá con sujeción a las reglamentaciones que dicte la Autoridad de Aplicacion' — all economic exploitation is banned except tourism-linked activities APN itself authorizes. The park's own visitor regulation authorizes ONLY seasonal rod-and-line sport fishing (individual free permit, 1 Jan-30 Apr, largemouth bass/pejerrey/palometa >30cm); underwater hunting/spearfishing is not among the activities APN has authorized and therefore remains banned by the park's default extraction prohibition.
