Overview
How spearfishing is treated at Iona National Park (coastal/marine zone).
Angola's oldest and largest protected area in Namibe Province, with roughly 160-200 km of Atlantic coastline and the Cunene River delta/Baia dos Tigres, co-managed by the Angolan Government and African Parks. As a national park its coastal and offshore areas are protected; fishing/extractive activity is restricted within the conservation area. Specific marine-use rules are administered by the park authority.

License for Angola
Whether you need a license to spearfish here, and how to get one.
Obtained from the competent body of the Ministry of Fisheries (Ministério das Pescas), which may delegate to the competent provincial body. Competition spearfishers must additionally hold a special licence, a medical fitness certificate from the Centro de Medicina Desportiva de Angola, and pass an examination before a three-member jury (two from the Port Captaincy, one from the Angolan Sports Fishing Association).
