No-take sanctuary zone of Marmion Marine Park. All fishing is prohibited in sanctuary zones under the gazetted prohibition order made under the Fish Resources Management Act 1994 s.43, so spearfishing is banned here. Note that in Marmion Marine Park spearfishing is permitted only in the General Use Areas at least 1800 m from the mainland high water mark and without compressed air; sanctuary areas are excluded entirely.
