Dangerous Reef Sanctuary Zone (SZ-5), Sir Joseph Banks Group Marine Park (South Australia)

No-take sanctuary zone of the Sir Joseph Banks Group Marine Park, declared under the Marine Parks Act 2007 (SA) and given effect by the Marine Parks (Zoning) Regulations 2012. Sanctuary rules prohibit removing or harming any plant or animal in the zone, so no fishing of any kind — spearfishing included — may be carried on there; the Department for Environment and Water's official zoning table lists spear fishing as not allowed in a sanctuary zone. Diving, snorkelling, swimming, boating and anchoring stay permitted, and a vessel may transit the zone.
