A special-purpose management area of Jurien Bay Marine Park covering the Green Islands waters between 30°39.993’S and 30°47.277’S, excluding the sanctuary areas inside it. Clause 6(1) of the Prohibition on Recreational Fishing (Jurien Bay Marine Park) Order 2005 prohibits all recreational fishing here. Clause 6(2) restores fishing for rock lobster and clause 6(3) restores shore-based, boat-free abalone, line and net fishing. Spearfishing for finfish is in none of those categories and is therefore prohibited. Enforcement is by DPIRD fisheries officers; the southernmost and largest scientific reference area, taking in the Green Islands and Grey.
