How spearfishing is treated at Kunmunya and Samson II wreck site, off Point Samson (Western Australia).

A 500 m-radius total fishing closure around the wrecks of the Kunmunya and the Samson II in Pilbara waters off Point Samson. Clause 2 of the Prohibition on Fishing (“Kunmunya” and “Samson II” Wrecks Site) Order 2000 (Order No. 5 of 2000, s.43 of the Fish Resources Management Act 1994, as amended by Order No. 24 of 2003) prohibits fishing by any means, which includes spearfishing. The two vessels are popular dive wrecks; diving on them is not restricted by this order, only fishing.
