Spearfishing is specifically prohibited in this zone of Shark Bay Marine Park: clause 7 of the Prohibition on Recreational Fishing (Shark Bay Marine Park) Order 2004 bans recreational fishing by means of a pointed instrument in the Recreation Areas and in the Cape Peron, Big Lagoon and Boorabuggatta special purpose areas. Line fishing may still be permitted.
