Overview

How spearfishing is treated at Yaringa Marine National Park, Victoria.

One of Victoria's 13 marine national parks - a no-take marine protected area (intertidal mudflats, saltmarsh and tidal channels, Ramsar-listed) under the National Parks Act 1975 (Vic), managed by Parks Victoria. All fishing including spearfishing is prohibited and spear guns may not be used or carried. Northern Western Port between the mainland and Quail Island, near Hastings.
