Largest atoll in the Mesoamerican Reef and largest marine reserve in Belize, officially declared a marine reserve on 22 November 2012 and managed by TASA. Contains conservation/no-take zones with no extractive fishing and no spearfishing; spear guns and SCUBA harvesting are prohibited within the reserve.
