How spearfishing is treated at Atol das Rocas Biological Reserve (Reserva Biologica do Atol das Rocas).
Brazil's first marine biological reserve (1979), on the Rocas Atoll about 266 km off the coast of Rio Grande do Norte. As a REBIO (integral protection) under ICMBio, all extractive fishing including spearfishing is prohibited; the only atoll in the South Atlantic.
