Wildlife sanctuary in the Gulf of Darién (municipality of Acandí, Chocó; 26,232.71 ha, ~90% marine), jointly managed with three Afro-Colombian community councils (COCOMANORTE, COCOMASUR, COCOMASECO), protecting nesting sea-turtle beaches. Industrial fishing is prohibited following its declaration, and sport/spearfishing is banned as with all units of the Sistema de Parques Nacionales Naturales under Law 2 de 1959 (art. 13) and Decreto 1076 de 2015.
