License requiredvia National Conservation Council / Marine Conservation Board (Department of Environment)

Apply to the Department of Environment. Speargun licence applications are accepted annually between 1 June and 31 August. As of the March 2026 Conservation Council decision, the DoE was preparing to (re)commence issuing and renewing licences.
