How spearfishing is treated at Abu Ramada Island.
Small island and reef complex south of the Giftun Islands off Hurghada, a named constituent of the Red Sea Northern Islands Protectorate declared in August 2006 under Law No. 102 of 1983 on Natural Protectorates. Egyptian marine-science literature maps 'Abu Ramad(a)' as a no-fishing zone (Egyptian Red Sea fishing-zones map, ResearchGate fig1_46034001). Fishing including spearfishing is prohibited. Coordinates from the OpenStreetMap islet feature for Abu Ramada island itself (distinct from the nearby Gota Abu Ramada dive reefs).
