Overview
How spearfishing is treated at Parque Nacional Marítimo-Terrestre del Archipiélago de Cabrera.
Maritime-terrestrial national park established by Ley 14/1991 covering the Cabrera archipelago and its surrounding sea south of Mallorca (boundaries later expanded in 2019). Sport fishing in all its forms and underwater fishing (pesca submarina) are prohibited within the park; only traditional professional artisanal fishing is exempted (per the Management and Use Plan). Diving/submarinismo is prohibited except with express authorization for research, conservation or public-use purposes (Article 3). Representative point south of Mallorca near the Cabrera archipelago.

Whether you need a license to spearfish here, and how to get one.
Apply through the fisheries authority of the relevant coastal Autonomous Community (online or in person). A medical certificate of fitness for underwater/free-diving (issued by a doctor qualified in hyperbaric/underwater medicine), or a valid federation licence covering the medical, plus suitable accident insurance, is generally required. ID (DNI for citizens; NIE/passport for foreigners) and payment of the regional fee are needed.
