How spearfishing is treated at Reserva Marina de Interes Pesquero del Cabo de San Antonio (Comunitat Valenciana).

Regional marine reserve in the interior waters between Cabo de San Antonio and the meridian of Punta de San Nicolas (Xabia/Denia). Decreto 19/2015 art. 3 bans recreational sea fishing in every form, expressly including spearfishing; recreational scuba diving is allowed only with a permit and without any fishing gear.

Apply through the fisheries authority of the relevant coastal Autonomous Community (online or in person). A medical certificate of fitness for underwater/free-diving (issued by a doctor qualified in hyperbaric/underwater medicine), or a valid federation licence covering the medical, plus suitable accident insurance, is generally required. ID (DNI for citizens; NIE/passport for foreigners) and payment of the regional fee are needed.
