How spearfishing is treated at Reserva Marina de la Isla de Alboran (Andalucia / Mar de Alboran).

State marine reserve around the isolated island of Alboran. Within the half-mile integral reserve ring all fishing, extraction of fauna and flora and all underwater activities are prohibited; in the surrounding one-mile marine reserve every kind of fishing is banned except listed professional gear and recreational trolling, and divers may not carry anything usable to take marine species. Spearfishing is prohibited throughout.

Apply through the fisheries authority of the relevant coastal Autonomous Community (online or in person). A medical certificate of fitness for underwater/free-diving (issued by a doctor qualified in hyperbaric/underwater medicine), or a valid federation licence covering the medical, plus suitable accident insurance, is generally required. ID (DNI for citizens; NIE/passport for foreigners) and payment of the regional fee are needed.
